As our equine friends endeavor to perform for us during the paces we put them through, they develop certain muscular conditions, which may invariably lead to poor muscular health.
Performing repetitive motions for:
| - Show Jumping |
- Western |
| - Dressage |
- Eventing |
| - Racing |
- Steeplechase |
| - Polo |
- Pleasure / Trail |
and many other equine sports creates muscle stress.
Any muscle tension that is not released naturally by the body will most likely
result in muscular adhesions. These adhesions can lead to reduction in range of
motion and other stress related conditions.
Like us, horses will favor any injury, which means an overload for the other muscles
that are carrying the burden for that activity. Over time, this form of compensation
will cause muscle breakdown.
Massage can assist in keeping the horse balanced through his movements,
keeping him sound, and improving overall performance.
There is a considerable investment of time, emotion, and finances in owning
our horses. Massage is one of the ways to ensure that that investment
is well protected.
